Love the salad knork. It travels with me as well. I have one in the glove box for on the go meals. A great fork!
I was concerned that my family would find them to be difficult to use and heavy. The salad fork is smaller and lighter than the full-sized dinner fork so it works well between the children's set and the dinner fork.
The whole house has been fought over using them. The forks were so popular because they are so easy to use and are comfortable. Even as just a simple small fork (without using the special edge and finger rest for cutting) the utensils are great.
