I got this storage tray during the last sale and was really looking forward to receiving it as I liked the idea of having a tray that would keep my Knorks neat and tidy. Imagine my disappointment when it arrived stained and dirty (I'd post a photo for other consumers if there were a place for me to do so). I could wash off some of the dirt, but the stains were intractable. When I'm ordering directly from the company instead of a third-party retailer, I usually expect more careful quality control.
On the positive side, the tray is relatively sturdy and does hold my 8-setting Knork set in place (you'd have to wedge the pieces in pretty tight and fill to the very top of the notches to get a 10-setting set in, but it could be done -- in my opinion, an 8-setting set fits better, though). I'd also recommend consumers measure their drawers very carefully before ordering -- sometimes, drawers may actually only be 17.5"-18" deep even in a 24" cabinet, and you definitely need them to be a wee bit more than 18" clearance depth in your drawer to get this tray seated properly (note to Knork: it'd be a great idea to make this style of tray solution in a couple different depths).
So to sum up, there's something to be said for the notched section design here, but what I received is another example of a more general experience I've had with Knork products: Knorks' designs are solid, but the quality control needs some work -- I've had to return Knork flatware to third-party retailers more than once because I received damaged products. I'd send this tray back were it not for the fact that I already paid almost half the sale purchase price to ship the product to my house, and I'd have to pay again to send it back and then hope that Knork chooses to honor the warranty (which, according to their posted policy, is at the company's "discretion").
At this point, I'm not willing to give up on Knork products because I really like the design and weight (though in my experience, they can be a little more prone to tarnishing even when instructions are followed to the letter, and that includes my 18/10 flatware). Based on the condition of this "new" Sotrage Tray Solution I received when I ordered on this website and my general experience having to return some Knork products, though, I think that from here on out, when I have the option to order the same product from a third-party vendor with a less financially punitive return policy, I'll take that option, instead.
